Story bird

Story bird is a free platform for everyone. It is a platform for writers, readers and artist. It lets anyone make visual stories very quickly. 

You can easily do something like this. 

 In the evening we made a tour to city Marsaxlokk, a small fishing Village. There you can see many beautiful colorful boats in the peaceful harbor. We walked round the area and then we have a late dinner in typical Maltese restaurant where we try local fresh seafood. I really liked the colorful doors and balconies on the buildings.

Word clouds, school trip to Mdina

We learned how to make Word clouds. We were using an app   WORDART . It is easy, fun and customizable.  It is easy, fun and customizable. This is an example that I made for a practice. For my beginner class of English I use different words for fruit. You put words that you want to show and pick a shape from the list. You can choose colors, shape, and customize the text... This is a second example for Word Clouds. You can use articles and chose your own picture for a shape. I used an article about Malta and a picture (from DuckDuckGo) for a shape. On Thursday we had a school trip to Mdina. It is amazing city, like all the places on Malta that I have seen and it is the highest point on Malta. Like the city Victoria on Gozo, it was built and created out of a need for protection against invaders. We could see the main landmarks and we also got a beautiful night view round Mdina. I am looking forward to visiting this city in the sun light and seeing all this...

Starting my course TEL in Malta

On Monday 20. August 2018 I started the Interactive Course ‘Technology Enhanced Learning’ (ICT TEL) course in Malta. There are primary and secondary teachers from all over the Europe.  Firstly, we introduced ourselves to the class and afterwards we talked about our intention as English and computer science teachers. In addition, we made a reflection about our goals for the next two weeks. Then we talked about GoogleApps (Gmail, GoogleDrive, GoogleDoc) for what apps are useful.  After that we talked about Blogger for what it is useful and how to make one . With all of this information and tutorials each person in the class made one for himself.

The island is really famous for the Blue Lagoon and is the most famous tourist attraction because of the beautiful colors that you can see there. The place is amazing, but really crowded. We decided to go away from crowds, so we walked to the other side of the island and find some nice place called Santa Maria caves.
