Word clouds, school trip to Mdina

We learned how to make Word clouds. We were using an app   WORDART . It is easy, fun and customizable.  It is easy, fun and customizable. This is an example that I made for a practice. For my beginner class of English I use different words for fruit. You put words that you want to show and pick a shape from the list. You can choose colors, shape, and customize the text... This is a second example for Word Clouds. You can use articles and chose your own picture for a shape. I used an article about Malta and a picture (from DuckDuckGo) for a shape. On Thursday we had a school trip to Mdina. It is amazing city, like all the places on Malta that I have seen and it is the highest point on Malta. Like the city Victoria on Gozo, it was built and created out of a need for protection against invaders. We could see the main landmarks and we also got a beautiful night view round Mdina. I am looking forward to visiting this city in the sun light and seeing all this...

Starting my course TEL in Malta

On Monday 20. August 2018 I started the Interactive Course ‘Technology Enhanced Learning’ (ICT TEL) course in Malta. There are primary and secondary teachers from all over the Europe.  Firstly, we introduced ourselves to the class and afterwards we talked about our intention as English and computer science teachers. In addition, we made a reflection about our goals for the next two weeks. Then we talked about GoogleApps (Gmail, GoogleDrive, GoogleDoc) for what apps are useful.  After that we talked about Blogger for what it is useful and how to make one . With all of this information and tutorials each person in the class made one for himself.

Avatars, Movie in the classroom

Avatars An  avatar  is the  graphical representation  of the  user  or the user's  alter ego  or  character . An icon or figure representing a particular person in a video game, Internet forum, etc. You can use them in the class for teaching pupils how to make them. I made avatars in Program Voki. You can add (open and closed) questions about movie. You can also cut the movie into shorter sequences. For my Beginner English Class I made this movie.
